Job alerts and saved searches

Run a search on Find jobs, then click 🔔 Get alerts for this search. You can also go straight to Job alerts. An alert saves your keywords, category, state, the Remote only and Pay listed filters, and any More filters you set: pay range, distance from a ZIP code, shift, job type, no degree required and lateral friendly (see Search filters). If you set a distance, the alert stores your ZIP code and radius, and nothing more precise.

How often

Option What you get
Instant New matching jobs as they appear, batched at most once an hour
Daily digest One email a day, only if there's something new
Weekly digest One email a week, only if there's something new
Saved only No email. The search stays on your alerts page

An alert includes jobs posted directly on SecondWatch Careers and listings we import from job sources. It only includes jobs that first appeared after you set up the alert, and a job is never emailed twice for the same alert. SAMPLE demo posts are never included. We also cap the number of alert emails per address per day.

With an officer account

Signed-in officers manage alerts at Job alerts: rename them, change how often they arrive, or delete them. Officer alerts go to your account's confirmed email address. Two-step login must be on, as it is for everything else in your account.

Alert emails follow the same rules as the website. Verified officers see job details in the email. Anyone else gets the title, employer, location and pay, plus a link to finish verification.

Without an account (double opt-in)

You can get alerts without an account. Enter your email address and tick the consent box. We then email you a confirmation link, and nothing is sent until you click it (double opt-in). Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 7 days. Each alert email includes a private link to a page where you can manage all the alerts for that address.

Unsubscribing

Every alert email has an Unsubscribe from this alert link. Mail apps that support one-click unsubscribe (the Unsubscribe button next to the sender) work too. For an officer account, unsubscribing turns the alert's email off and keeps the saved search. For an address without an account, it deletes the alert. When the last alert goes, we delete your email address as well. Deleting your officer account deletes all your alerts.

We only use your alert email address to send the alerts you asked for. See the privacy policy.
