Officer-first, always
- Paying never beats an officer's filters. State, pay, shift, remote and other filters always apply. A paid plan is only a tiebreak between equally matched jobs, or a slot clearly labeled ★ Featured Sponsored.
- “Verified Employer” = an active paid plan + a confirmed account email + a verified company domain (DNS TXT record or a confirmed email at the company's own domain; free email never counts). Agencies also pass agency verification and can verify .gov/.us domains. We re-check regularly and remove the badge if verification lapses. It's not an endorsement of the employer or the job.
- For officers: optional private coaching. Verified officers (detention and corrections included) can book a life coach with law-enforcement experience. It's completely private: employers and agencies never see it. How it works.
- Officers control contact. Employers see only what an officer shares. Officers can mute, block or report any employer, and employer messages are rate-limited.
- Jobs imported from public sources stay free and stay listed.
- Featured boost: $79 per job for 30 days, on any plan ($49 for founding employers).
Questions
Do officers ever pay?
No. Officers never pay to search, apply, or use any officer tool. Plans are for employers and agencies only.
Can our agency pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Agency annual plans can be billed by invoice with net-30 terms and your PO number. Your plan starts when the invoice is issued; download it and a vendor-information sheet from your billing page and send them to your accounts-payable team. We don't email invoices. (Payments run in TEST/DEMO mode before launch.)
Is there a free option?
Yes. Every company gets one free first post (30 days). Agencies can post entry-level / recruit jobs for free, always. Jobs we import from public sources are free and stay listed.
What does “Featured” mean, and does paying change search results?
Featured jobs sit in a clearly labeled “Featured · Sponsored” slot. Paying never lets a job skip an officer's filters (state, pay, shift, remote and so on) and never pushes a better-matching job down: inside the normal results, a paid plan is only a tiebreak between otherwise equal jobs.
What is the “Verified Employer” badge?
It means the employer has an active paid plan, a confirmed account email, and has proved it controls its own web domain, by a DNS TXT record or a confirmed email at that domain (free email domains never count; agencies can use .gov/.us domains and must also pass our agency verification). We re-check domains regularly, and the badge is removed if verification lapses. It does not mean SecondWatch vouches for the employer or the job: always check the details, and report anything wrong.
What is founding-employer pricing?
The first 100 paying companies and agencies keep our launch prices (Starter $99, Pro $299, Enterprise $599 a month; Agency Basic $49, Agency Plus $149; Featured boost $49) for 12 months from their first paid checkout. After that, the plan renews at the current list price. We'll give you advance notice before your lock ends, and you can change or cancel any time. Spots are counted once and aren't reused.
What add-ons are there?
Extra officer-search recruiter seats, officer search for Starter, a Featured employer page, Sponsored job emails (sent only to officers who turned them on, reviewed by us first, and capped so nobody is flooded), and agency recruitment ad packages by quote. Officers never pay, and we never charge per application.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans cost 10× the monthly price: two months free. You can switch between monthly and annual from your billing page.
Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel?
Any time, from the billing page. Upgrades apply right away (prorated in Stripe). If you downgrade below the jobs you have open, nothing is taken down: your jobs run to their end date, and new jobs need a free slot. Cancelling ends the plan at the end of the period you paid for.
What happens if a payment fails?
Your plan keeps working for a grace period while you update your payment method. After that it pauses (your open jobs stay up until their end date).
Can I see officers' contact details?
Only what an officer chooses to share with you, when they apply or answer an invite. Officer search shows anonymous cards of officers who opted in. Officers can mute, block or report any employer.
Is this live billing?
Not yet. Payments run in Stripe TEST mode or a DEMO mode, and no real card is charged. Prices and terms are drafts pending legal review.
