Hiring tools: templates, import, screening questions, scheduling, events and insights

Templates and duplicates

Use Duplicate on any post (dashboard), or save a post as a template under Templates. Copies are drafts. You confirm the equal-opportunity statement again on every post.

Bulk import

Bulk import accepts a CSV file (up to 200 jobs) on every plan. Enterprise can also upload XML or sync an ATS feed (https only). Every imported job is a draft, checked like a hand-written post.

Check my post

The Check my post button on the job form gives rule-based suggestions: how law-enforcement skills translate for civilian readers, jargon to spell out, pay-transparency requirements for the state, and wording our review would flag. No AI, and nothing leaves the site.

Screening questions

Add up to 5 yes/no questions and, optionally, a required answer. Questions about age, race, religion, national origin or citizenship, sex, family, disability or health, arrests, convictions or criminal history, or salary history are blocked. An answer that differs from a requirement is flagged, never auto-rejected.

Why conviction and arrest questions are blocked: many states and cities have ban-the-box / fair-chance hiring laws that bar conviction questions on the application, and many bar asking about arrests that didn't lead to a conviction. You can still ask “Are you willing to undergo a background investigation?”. For roles with legal disqualifiers (for example sworn officer positions under state POST standards), state the legal requirement in the job description and handle it in your background investigation later in the process. Work-experience questions such as “Do you have experience with felony investigations?” or “Can you run criminal history checks in NCIC?” are allowed.

Pipeline, tags, mentions and bulk messages

The pipeline kanban shows ratings, tags, requirement flags and confirmed interview times. In team notes, type @Name to mention a teammate; they see it under Needs attention. The list view can post one on-site message to several applicants (no email). Applicants who blocked you are skipped.

Interview scheduling

On an applicant page, propose up to 6 times. The officer picks one on the site and both sides can download a calendar (.ics) file. No phone or email exchange is needed.

Talent pools

Save opted-in officers from officer search into pools. Officers who pause, opt out or block you disappear from pools automatically.

Hiring events

Post career fairs and info sessions under Events. Agencies can also post testing dates, academy starts and ride-along days. They appear on /events. You see an RSVP count, plus names only from officers who choose to share them.

Insights

Insights shows your funnel, time to hire and response score, which officers see on your posts. CSV export comes with Pro, Enterprise and Agency Plus.

Agency hub

Agencies get a hub with recruit stats by posting type, a lateral pay, benefits and reciprocity checklist, the testing/academy schedule, and ride-along/info-session requests (officers choose what to share; replies stay on the site).
